Employees told deputies they noticed the suspect attempting to steal items from the store. The employees told deputies that the suspect was a known shoplifter. <\/p>\n<p>When deputies arrived, the suspects were already inside a vehicle, so they attempted to pull them over in the parking lot. <\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s when the situation took a turn for the worse. One of the suspects got out of the vehicle and allegedly started firing at the deputies with a handgun. The deputies returned fire and hit the suspect. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>1 \/ 0 \/ ?<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/crime\/shoplifting-suspect-killed-during-shootout-with-deputies-in-walmart-parking-lot\/ar-AAN6AKW?ocid=BingNews\">MSN.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Man in critical condition after officer-involved shooting outside Lawrence bar<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Jesse Wells<br \/>\nINDIANAPOLIS \u2014 A man is in critical condition following an officer-involved shooting in Lawrence.<\/p>\n<p>That shooting took place early Monday morning outside a business on Pendleton Pike.<\/p>\n<p>Just before 2 a.m., Lawrence police claim a fight inside Mar Y Sol Bar and Grill escalated to gunfire despite the intervention of security both inside and outside the business.<\/p>\n<p>Police are still investigating exactly what led up to the disturbance but say it quickly spilled into the parking lot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe security and staff were pushing the people involved in the disturbance to the outside parking lot when one of the individuals started firing a handgun.
