\nKentucky state trooper says he had to switch from ‘pursuit’ mode to rushing a woman in labor to the hospital<\/em><\/p>\n

\nA Kentucky state trooper escorted a woman in labor to the hospital after he pulled her over for speeding.<\/p>\n

“I went from, you know, thinking that I was in a vehicle pursuit to how am I going to get the lady that\u2019s in labor to the hospital as fast as I can,” Trooper Jason Adkison, of the Kentucky State Police, told WBKO.<\/p>\n

The situation unfolded on an interstate in Elizabethtown, as Adkison headed back to Bowling Green from training in Frankfort.<\/p>\n

“I couldn\u2019t believe that this person just passed me at that speed approaching from the rear,” Adkison recounted.<\/p>\n

“I was kind of mentally, you know, preparing myself for that, to go into pursuit mode, and turn on my siren. She\u2019s still not stopping initially. And eventually, she pulls over after a couple of miles,” he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Tucson PD: Alleged shoplifter running from business struck, killed by driver<\/strong><\/p>\n

TUCSON, Ariz. – A man who was reportedly running from a business he had shoplifted from was struck and killed by a driver in Tucson on Saturday, says the police department.<\/p>\n

Just after 9 p.m. in the area of Wilmont Road and Broadway Boulevard, officers responded to a 911 call about a man who was hit by a car, says Tucson Police Officer Roman Acosta.<\/p>\n

The man, Nicholas James Hernandez, 32, was rushed to the hospital but died soon after.<\/p>\n

Acosta says the incident happened when Hernandez shoplifted from a business in the area, ran into the street and then was hit by a car.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
