Driver charged with aggravated assault for hitting bicyclist in SE Houston<\/strong><\/p>\n

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A man and woman were riding their bikes on the street Sunday in southeast Houston when a driver used his vehicle to hit the woman, knocking her off her bike, officials say.<\/p>\n

Authorities say the male cyclist was in fear for his life and fired shots at the driver.<\/p>\n

It happened in the 5000 block of Jefferson Street around 2:19 p.m.<\/p>\n

Police said the driver told the bicyclists that they could not be riding around in the neighborhood. The violent confrontation happened a short time later.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

1 killed, 3 wounded in Austin shooting<\/strong>
\nThe shooting happened in the first block of North Menard Avenue, Chicago police said.<\/em><\/p>\n

One person was killed and three others wounded in a shooting Sunday night in Austin on the West Side.<\/p>\n

About 10:45 p.m., two men and a woman were standing in an alley in the first block of North Menard Avenue when a 33-year-old man began shooting at them, Chicago police said.<\/p>\n

A woman suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The Cook County medical examiner\u2019s office identified her as 45-year-old Janina Ford.<\/p>\n

A man, 32, was struck multiple times in the body and taken to Stroger Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.<\/p>\n

Another man, 49, suffered a gunshot wound to the buttocks and was taken to the same hospital where his condition was also stabilized, police said.<\/p>\n

A 49-year-old man, who was a concealed carry license holder, witnessed the incident and shot at the offender, according to police.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

12-year-old killed armed burglar during home invasion<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nEAST FELICIANA (WAFB) – A 12-year-old boy who feared for his life and mother\u2019s shot and killed an armed burglar during a home invasion in East Feliciana Parish on Wednesday, June 30.<\/p>\n

According to the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff\u2019s Office, witnesses saw Brad LeBlanc, 32, armed with a pistol and made contact with the primary female resident in the 5800 block of Winchester Lane outside her home in the early Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

LeBlanc forced her inside of the home. Once inside the home, a struggle began between Leblanc and the female resident. It was at this time the 12-year-old son of the female victim, who feared for his and his mother\u2019s safety, shot LeBlanc with a hunting rifle.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
