Hero chases down Central Park mugger who stole woman\u2019s phone<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA good Samaritan chased down a mugger who punched a woman and snatched her cellphone in Central Park on Friday \u2014 and the do-gooder was able to retrieve the stolen item, according to cops and police sources.<\/p>\n

The hero jumped into action after witnessing the shocking broad-daylight attack on the East Drive at 110th Street.<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old victim had been sitting on a bench and sending text messages at around 10 a.m. \u2014 when a man came up to her and tried to grab her iPhone 11, police and sources said.<\/p>\n

A struggle ensued and the punk punched the woman in the face, knocking her to the ground, \u2014 before he darted off, cops said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nMEMPHIS, Tenn. \u2014 A Memphis man is facing serious charges after police say he tried to break into a Hickory Hill family\u2019s home, but the family fought back.<\/p>\n

Investigators say the homeowner spotted 19-year-old Kevin Mitchell hopping the fence in the middle of the afternoon, so she ran into the backyard with her children to confront him.<\/p>\n

Police say Mitchell pulled a gun on the family, but the tables quickly turned after the woman\u2019s son pulled his own weapon and opened fire.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
