All the preparations were done to provide support for troops coming up, prior to the actual battle for control of Guadalcanal. Drachinifel&#8217;s narration is direct and to the point.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Aa-29Uzo6c4\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Aa-29Uzo6c4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Japanese had attempted to provide supplies to their own troops by putting supplies into oil drums and sending them floating to the shore of the island. It was not very successful. US Navy ships came fully loaded to supply our troops.
