When he’s not making passes at subordinate females young enough to be his daughter and when he’s not forcing elder care facilities to take patients ill with a highly contagious disease that disproportionately affects the elderly Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) is coming up with a lot of other great ideas. Take this one for example.<\/p>\n

This summer, if you want to attend a Mets or Yankees game, you’ll be placed in segregated seating based on your COVID-19 vaccination status. I thought the whole point of getting vaccinated was so that we could get herd immunity. What he’s put in place is, like his order to nursing homes, going to lead to more people getting sick. He’s putting all the unvaccinated (and thus unprotected) together in one spot so they can share the same air. Meanwhile, over in Vaccination Land everyone’s protected (with ~95% efficacy). Mixing the vaccinated with the unvaccinated is the whole point for getting the vaccine!<\/p>\n

Oh, and if you’re in Vaccination Land (where papers will be checked to ensure you’re protected against COVID) you\u00a0still\u00a0<\/em>have to wear a mask. You’ll be segregated from all the unprotected people and still have to wear a damn mask. At an outdoor stadium. Madness I say!<\/p>\n

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday announced new rules for baseball fans in New York \u2014 saying the Mets and Yankees can open sections of their stadiums at full capacity May 19, but only for those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Separate sections of unvaccinated attendees at ballparks and other large venues across the Empire State will be restricted to 33 percent capacity, with social distancing of 6 feet, the governor explained during a press briefing at his Manhattan office.<\/p>\n

All attendees will still be required to wear face masks at stadiums regardless of vaccination status.<\/p>\n

If a person is vaccinated it\u2019s \u201cnormal capacity,\u201d Cuomo said. \u201cSit next to each other in a section, sit next to your friend, sit next to your family. Just normal capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Children under 16 \u2014 who have not yet been approved to receive any of the available COVID-19 vaccines in the US \u2014 can accompany vaccinated attendees, according to the governor.<\/p>\n

The new rules will do away with the previous state mandate that required attendees to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test ahead of a game.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the Mets and Yankees have teamed up with the state Department of Health so that attendees can get vaccinated with Johnson & Johnson\u2019s one-dose shot at both Citi Field and Yankee Stadium during games, Cuomo said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will set up at the game, a facility, as you\u2019re going in, come a little bit earlier and get your vaccine at the game. You\u2019re going to the game anyway. It\u2019s on your way, stop and get a vaccine,\u201d said Cuomo.<\/p>\n

The new seating rules apply to any \u201clarge-scale outdoor event venues\u201d in New York \u2014 including sports, performing arts and live entertainment, and horse and auto racing venues.<\/p>\n

People seated in the vaccinated sections will have to provide proof of their full immunization status \u2014 either with an official paper vaccination record card, digital app or the state\u2019s Excelsior Pass, Cuomo\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n

The governor insisted that the state\u2019s new seating plan is \u201cnot segregation.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
