Pasco County\u2019s K9 Shep takes down murder suspect<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. – A K9 team that has been popular for their takedowns captured on body camera footage over the years recently apprehended a murder suspect in Pasco County, officials said.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, before sunrise, Pasco County deputies responded to a shooting reported in Hudson and located the body of a man. Investigators said they believed the suspect knew the victim, and shot him during a robbery, fleeing with a backpack carrying money.<\/p>\n

A few hours after, deputies said the suspect vehicle was spotted in New Port Richey but fled when deputies attempted a traffic stop. Stop sticks were deployed and the vehicle eventually became disabled.<\/p>\n

The shooting suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Tyler Burgos, fled into a wooded area. That\u2019s when K9 Deputy Nick Carmack and K9 Shep arrived.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fairbanks man retrieves pistol from his car to stop robbery attempt<\/strong><\/p>\n

FAIRBANKS – A Fairbanks man stopped an attempted robbery at a gas station by pointing his gun at the suspect and holding him until law enforcement arrived, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Nick Moore said he was standing in line Friday at a Holiday store with his breakfast and energy drink when a teen walked in with a knife.<\/p>\n

\u201cI kind of backed up a little bit to see what he was going to do, but I kind of already had an inkling in my mind of what was going to happen,\u201d Moore told Fairbanks television station KTVF.<\/p>\n

His suspicion turned out to be correct; the teen told employees he was robbing the store.<\/p>\n

\u201cI put my stuff on the counter, snuck out the door, ran to my car, grabbed my pistol and came back up to the door,\u201d Moore said. \u201cHe just turned to look at me. I racked my slide on my pistol and pointed it at him and he put his hands up.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
