Woman Stabbed To Death After Forcing Her Way Into Oxford Circle Home, Police Say<\/strong><\/p>\n

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) \u2014 One woman is dead and another is hospitalized after a stabbing inside a home in Oxford Circle. It happened in the 1200 block of Elbridge Street around 6 p.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Police say a 21-year-old forced her way inside the home and got into an altercation with a 38-year-old woman.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old was stabbed in the back and is in stable condition.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old was stabbed multiple times in the chest. She later died at the hospital.<\/p>\n

Police say it appears the 38-year-old stabbed the 21-year-old in self-defense.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nHOUSTON \u2014 A store worker told police he feared for his life when he shot a homeless person outside his business in northwest Houston late Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The shooting was reported before 10 p.m. outside a discount corner store in the 6400 block of W. 43rd.<\/p>\n

Officers arrived and found a man, age 30, on the ground with two gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Off-Duty Pentagon Officer Shoots Teen Who Tried to Rob Him, Police Say<\/strong>
\nThe confrontation happened near Oxon Run Park in Southeast D.C.<\/em><\/p>\n

A teenager was shot as he allegedly tried to rob a man who turned out to be an off-duty Pentagon police officer, according to D.C. police.<\/p>\n

A 16-year-old boy armed with a BB gun attempted to rob the officer in the 1200 block of Mississippi Ave SE near Oxon Run Park about 9:20 p.m., police said. The officer tried to disarm the teen, then fired their service weapon.<\/p>\n

The teen was hit in the arm and taken into custody. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
