Another senseless shooting, and the ghouls aren’t waiting for the bodies of the innocents to cool to press their agenda. More on this later. For now, Boulder officials have released the names of the victims as well as the shooter, and some very preliminary findings.<\/p>\n

Dylan Stableford<\/strong><\/p>\n Officials in Boulder, Colo., have publicly identified the suspect and victims in Monday’s mass shooting that left 10 people dead at a supermarket in the Denver suburb.<\/p>\n At a press briefing Tuesday morning, Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold fought back tears as she read aloud the names and ages of those killed:<\/p>\n \u2022 Denny Strong, 20<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Neven Stanisic, 23<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Rikki Olds, 25<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Tralona Bartkowiak, 49<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Teri Leiker, 51<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Eric Talley, 51<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Suzanne Fountain, 59<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Kevin Mahoney, 61<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Lynn Murray, 62<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Jodi Waters, 65<\/strong><\/p>\n The suspect was identified as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, 21, of Arvada, Colo., who was charged with 10 counts of first-degree murder. Boulder Police Chief Maris said the suspect was wounded in an exchange of gunfire with police and taken into custody. He is in stable condition and is expected to be transferred to Boulder County Jail later Tuesday.<\/p>\n An affidavit released Tuesday afternoon showed that the alleged gunman purchased an assault rifle less than a week before the attack. It did not say where the gun was purchased.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Unlike others who shall remain nameless, I’ll wait for some facts to be known before coming to something resembling a conclusion. That being said, really there are only a couple rational reasons for such a horrific act- insanity or terrorism, with both being a viable option. <\/p>\n Registration and background checks will have zero effect on either. <\/p>\n Deepest condolences to family, friends, and the folks of Boulder.
