A WWII Sailor gets his birthday wish:\u00a0 https:\/\/www.navytimes.com\/military-honor\/salute-veterans\/2021\/02\/14\/wwii-veteran-wants-to-be-buried-in-navy-uniform-so-she-made-one\/<\/a><\/p>\n

All his old shipmates had passed away, and his wife of 67 years had preceded him in passing on.<\/p>\n

He did have one set of his dark blues, but they didn\u2019t fit. Fortunately, when he went to a shop to ask for alterations, he got a new set of dark blues out of it, thanks to the generosity of someone who knew how to duplicate those old 13-button pants. Once she had his new blues tailored properly, he got the surprise of his life.<\/p>\n
