Anyone? Bueller?<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately for the media, the newly-minted president is not very original in his thought processes. One might think that, after several decades of exposure to his public natterings, they\u2019d have caught on, but up until this morning, it seems they were deaf to it all.<\/p>\n<p>And now bite-me is being criticized for what they ignored and\/or refused to acknowledge: he hasn\u2019t had an original thought since he was born. He is copycatting his predecessor on just about everything.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some samples, straight from this morning\u2019s newspaper article by Cal Thomas:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/starherald.com\/opinion\/columnists\/syndicated\/cal-thomas-tell-the-truth-mr-president\/article_e94de714-86e0-11eb-8e58-6399d4f07be6.html\">https:\/\/starherald.com\/opinion\/columnists\/syndicated\/cal-thomas-tell-the-truth-mr-president\/article_e94de714-86e0-11eb-8e58-6399d4f07be6.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>From the article: Some may recall Biden\u2019s past problems with plagiarism. Taking the words of others without attribution led to his withdrawal from the 1988 presidential race. A close reading of Thursday\u2019s speech suggests that problem may not have gone away.<\/p>\n<p>People who pay attention to such things might wish to compare elements of Biden\u2019s speech with what former President Trump has said. Here are just a few examples, courtesy of the communications department at <a href=\"http:\/\/GOP.com\">GOP.com<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>On Being a Wartime President<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Biden: \u201cThat\u2019s why I\u2019m using every power I have as President of the United States to put us on a war footing to get the job done. It sounds like hyperbole, but I mean it: a war footing.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Trump: \u201cI\u2019m a wartime president\u2026in a true sense we are at war.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On Complex Operations<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Biden: \u201cBut this is one of the most complex operations we\u2019ve under- \u2014 ever undertaken as a nation in a long time.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Trump: \u201c&#8230;a massive scientific, industrial, and logistical endeavor unlike anything our country has seen since the Manhattan Project.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On Working with Manufacturers<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Biden: \u201cWe\u2019ve been working with the vaccine manufacturers \u2014 Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson &amp; Johnson \u2014 to manufacture and purchase hundreds of millions of doses of these three safe, effective vaccines.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Trump: \u201cWe&#8217;re mass-producing all of the most promising vaccine candidates in advance.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On the Vaccine Timeline<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Biden: \u201cWe\u2019ll have enough vaccine supply for all adults in America by the end of May.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Trump: \u201cMillions of doses will be available every month, and we expect to have enough vaccines for every American by April.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On Purchasing Vaccines<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Biden: \u201cI announced our plan to buy an additional 100 million doses of Johnson &amp; Johnson vaccines.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Trump: \u201cWe have reached an agreement with Moderna to manufacture and deliver 100 million doses of their coronavirus vaccine candidate\u2026recently we also secured partnerships with Johnson &amp; Johnson as well as Sanofi and GSX to support the large scale manufacturing of their vaccines.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tell the truth, Mr. President, about who really should get most of the credit for fighting COVID-19. It isn\u2019t you; it\u2019s your predecessor. &#8211; article<\/p>\n<p>I have said Biden was dumber than a box of bent nails, among other dumb things.
