There is only opinion in that article, not proof that actually anyone did anything wrong. Vindman went down a rabbit hole and has not been heard from since. And where is the CT\u2019s source for his statement about Pelosi, anyway? Unfortunately, no backup for the accusatory statements is provided by the author of that article, no source provided \u2013 in short, nothing. It appears on the surface to either be hearsay or made up out of whole cloth. Were it not for the sidebar with Sen. Cruz’s objections and complaints, I would not waste my time on it.<\/p>\n The author asks if this could violate the Posse Comitatus Act; possibly, but only if the military were told to use force against the populace in general. Please remember that when the Feebies wanted the National Guard to invade the Branch Davidians compound in Texas and use force, including a tank, they refused to do so. The Feebies had to drive the tank themselves. That was Janet Reno\u2019s famous stupidity, during the Clinton administration.<\/p>\n From the Conservative Treehouse article<\/strong> comes this:\u00a0 Fast forward to 2021 and now a very political military officer, (Retired Lieutenant) General Russel Honore\u2019, is appointed by Nancy Pelosi to be in charge of the military deployment around Washington DC.\u00a0 When you consider the political ramifications of the military supporting a false narrative, this is more than just another data-point.<\/p>\n The increased frequency of the military being politicized is what leads me to believe this phase is all just a public relations pre-positioning.\u00a0 I fully expect to see the standing U.S. military deployed against any state who stands up against unconstitutional federal demands\u2026 the likely origination point will be federal COVID mandates. – article<\/strong><\/p>\n The real question is this: Pelosi has no business telling any military official to deploy or assess anything anywhere, but according to the CT article author, she is said to have done just that. At this point, that is supposed to come from Biden and after him, Harris. So just who does<\/em> Pelosi think she is? And why is this happening now? Did she not dare get caught acting out of line when Trump was in charge?<\/p>\n In reading the CT article sidebar<\/u>, it is plain that Ted Cruz\u2019s angst about the criticism of Tucker Carlson, and Cruz\u2019s suspicions about using the National Guard to \u201cdefend the Capitol\u201d had something to do with this.<\/p>\n There is more to this than meets the eye. Just waiting for it to surface, like those bits of empty shell and unsoaked beans you find when you soak a pack of dry beans to cook them.<\/p>\n Just what the hell is<\/em> going on here?<\/p>\n Well, I did my due diligence on this subject matter, and found that Pelosi did, indeed, task retired<\/u><\/em> Lt. Gen. \u00a0Honor\u00e9 with leading a review of the Capitol\u2019s security. This was, in fact, done in January.<\/p>\n https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/congress\/pelosi-tasks-retired-lt-gen-russel-honor-leading-review-capitol-n1254421<\/a><\/p>\n In my view, this is presumptuous on Pelosi’s part, as that is really the job of the Capitol police department, and also indicates she is jumping the gun. The NG should be told \u2018pack up and go home now\u2019. There is no longer a need for their presence, and like some of you, I would be happy to see some Congress critters confined to their homes and told not to surface again until the Covid19 scare is over.<\/p>\n From the article:\u00a0 Honor\u00e9 has been outspoken about the attack on Twitter, saying on the day of the breach that it was a \u201csh– show.\u201d<\/p>\n He also wrote on Twitter that to \u201cprevent the miscommunication that resulted in the lack of adequate security at the Capitol,\u201d an overarching office be created for the capital region. The office would be responsible for safety and security in the area and would coordinate the agencies that protect the government and Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s his Tweet:\u00a0 10:54 PM \u00b7 Jan 6, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n Russel L. Honore’<\/a><\/p>\n @ltgrusselhonore<\/a><\/p>\n For the record I served on the joint chief of staff as deputy J3 operations, my job was military support to civil authority. I generally know how this shit supposed to happen today secure the Capital. This was a shit show today the @CapitalpoliceLS<\/a> were on their Ass\u00a0@11thHour<\/a> – end<\/p>\n Frankly, when faced with this kind of thing, it is best to view it all with a very jaundiced eye, as if you were being presented with a 1965 Pontiac Firebird with \u2018no rust, guaranteed\u201d and then you look underneath and see what\u2019s really there. Do the due diligence yourself and do NOT accept gossip or rumors or even the slightest innuendo about such things. Get below the surface. Dig deeper. Then you have something to back up your argument if you want to successfully deflate rumormongers.<\/p>\n What Honore is suggesting is another “department”, when the business of protecting the Capitol and the city of Washington, DC, is the job of the WDC police. After all, if you recall your history when real history was taught in schools, the Brits invaded their prior colonies in the early 19th century in an attempt to retake what they had lost, set fire to government buildings and stole a lot of stuff, and were subsequently sent packing by the newly-minted US Army. That was the same military action that sent the Brits to New Orleans to take that back, and lost the fight under Andrew Jackson.<\/p>\n I realize that Ted Cruz means well. I also find that Pelosi is, as usual, being a presumptuous bimp, assuming authority that she does not actually have. If Harris had asked LTG Honor\u00e9 to do what Pelosi wanted done, I would be fine with it. That really is Harris\u2019s job as Veep, isn\u2019t it? Why is she not mentioned in any of this? It seems that Ms. Harris is fast becoming a token, a Veep-in-name-only.<\/p>\n This assessment was done in January, shortly after the planned riot. It is now March and the news from Cruz is that he\u2019s pissed off because Tucker Carlson criticized this whole business, which he does as a reporter, and got slammed for it, when getting slammed for something he reports is part of Tucker’s job.<\/p>\n Stock up on popcorn and other treats, keep the drinks in cold water, and stay tuned.
