Armed robbery interrupted when officer visits 7-Eleven, California police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA police officer broke up an armed robbery at a convenience store early Monday by coincidence, California police say.<\/p>\n

Officer Reymundo Pena visited a 7-Eleven store at 12:55 a.m., interrupting a robbery in progress, police in Oceanside, California, wrote in a news release posted to Facebook.<\/p>\n

A customer showed a gun to the clerks, demanding money and merchandise, police wrote. When Pena entered the store, the robber ran away.<\/p>\n

Pena gave chase, finding cash and merchandise abandoned by the fleeing robber, and notified dispatchers, police wrote.<\/p>\n

After the robber scaled a fence into a school bus yard, Pena helped other officers set up a perimeter and begin a search, according to the release. Drones and a police K-9 assisted.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Woman shot man who was breaking into her Durham home, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) — A woman shot a man as he tried to break into her home in Durham.<\/p>\n

Durham Police Department said the shooting happened early Tuesday morning at a home on Glenbrook Drive.<\/p>\n

Investigators said the man was seriously hurt. He was rushed to the hospital, but his condition has not been released.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Frying pan attack ends with resident stabbing intruder, Michigan cops say<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAn alleged home invasion by a man armed with frying pans was recently thwarted by a resident, Michigan police say.<\/p>\n

Officers in Marquette were dispatched to a home Feb. 28 following an assault and home intrusion, the police department said. Officers found both the victim and suspect with injuries.<\/p>\n

The home\u2019s resident was allegedly struck by the suspect with two frying pans, police said. The resident countered by stabbing his alleged attacker, 32-year-old Alexander Chapoton, according to police.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
