Man shot to death after breaking into ex-girlfriend\u2019s home in Cleveland\u2019s Broadway-Slavic Village neighborhood<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nCLEVELAND, Ohio \u2013 A woman\u2019s ex-boyfriend was shot to death by her child\u2019s father after breaking into her home on the city\u2019s East Side, police said.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened about 5:30 a.m. Feb. 21, Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said. Details about the fatal shooting were release Sunday.<\/p>\n

Officers went to a home on the 4000 block of East 57th Street, just north of Harvard Avenue in the city\u2019s Broadway-Slavic Village neighborhood, and found a man suffering multiple gunshot wounds at the top of a staircase, Ciaccia said. Paramedics took the man to MetroHealth, where he died.<\/p>\n

Investigators at the house learned that the man who had died was the female resident\u2019s ex-boyfriend. He had come to the house the day before and assaulted her, Ciaccia said. The woman\u2019s child\u2019s father came to stay with her at the house, in case the ex-boyfriend returned.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Richmond man, 35, shot in neck while allegedly trying to break into Port Huron home<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA Richmond man was shot in the neck and wounded while allegedly trying to break into a Port Huron woman’s home Sunday, police said.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old man is in stable condition at a Macomb County hospital, they said.<\/p>\n

Port Huron police were called at about 5 a.m. Sunday to the 900 block of Huron Avenue to respond to reports that a disorderly man was in the street and yelling for help.<\/p>\n

Minutes later, a woman called police to tell them she had shot someone who had tried to break into her home, they said. She also said she and a small child were alone in the home.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
