Police: Man shot, killed man who had knife at Loris gas station in \u2018self-defense\u2019 after road rage incident<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nLORIS, S.C. (WBTW) \u2014 A man shot and killed another man who had a knife at a Loris gas station in \u201cself-defense\u201d after a road rage incident, according to police.<\/p>\n

The person killed was 34-year-old, David Gordon Lynn, of Loris, according to Coroner Robert Edge. Lynn died from a gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. at the Speedway at 5370 Broad Street, off Highway 701, according to officials.<\/p>\n

Police say it was determined later by detectives that this may have stemmed from a road rage incident.<\/p>\n

A truck appeared to pull up to a gas pump with another truck following behind, police said. The first truck stopped at the pump and the second truck stopped behind the first one. A male got out of the second truck with a what appeared to be a knife and approached the driver of the first truck.<\/p>\n

The male with the knife opened the door of the first truck and the driver fired one shot in self-defense, according to police.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

No charges filed after man shot and killed in Raleigh, MPD says<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nMEMPHIS, Tenn. \u2014 Memphis police said no charges will be filed after a man was shot and killed in Raleigh.<\/p>\n

It happened in the 5000 block of Ridge Tree Drive.<\/p>\n

FOX13 spoke with a neighbor who said he heard several gunshots.<\/p>\n

Police sources and neighbors said there was a string of car break-ins in the neighborhood before Thursday morning\u2019s deadly shooting on Ridge Tree Drive.<\/p>\n

On Twitter Thursday afternoon, Memphis Police said early information indicates the shooting was connected to an attempted car burglary.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of gunfire, it was like two different kinds of gunshots. It sounds like there was like three or four gunshots initially that started it and then maybe five or six other after that,\u201d said the neighbor.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
