Florida man with state tattooed on forehead calls 911 for ride home<\/h3>\n

He\u2019s proud to be a Florida man.<\/p>\n

A man with a Florida tattoo on his forehead has been arrested for calling 911 twice to get a ride home, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Matthew Leatham, 22, dialed 911 to request a ride home after 4 a.m. in the New Port Richey suburb of Tampa on Sunday, according to a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

A Pasco County deputy found Leatham and offered to call him a cab, but he said he didn\u2019t have money, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

Leatham then began walking in the direction he lives and again called 911 for a ride, cops said.<\/p>\n

The officer caught up to him and arrested him as he was on the line, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Authorities say the officer searched Leatham and found marijuana.<\/p>\n

He has been charged with misuse of the 911 system as well as possession of marijuana.<\/p>\n

Alleged \u2018Peeping Tom\u2019 busted after falling through ceiling of Virginia gym<\/h3>\n

This guy literally fell into trouble.<\/p>\n

A 41-year-old Peeping Tom was busted after falling through the ceiling of a locker room at a Virginia gym, landing on a lady \u2014 and then being cornered by some women until cops arrived.<\/p>\n

Brian Anthony Joe was spying on the ladies at Onelife Fitness in Stafford around 1:15 p.m. Saturday when he came crashing down through the ceiling, the Stafford County Sheriff\u2019s Office wrote on Facebook.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe suspect fell on a woman below,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office said. \u201cThe female was checked for injuries by rescue personnel at the scene, but she was not transported\u201d to the hospital.<\/p>\n

Joe fell approximately 10 feet but was not injured, the sheriff said.<\/p>\n

He was then held by women in the locker room till cops got there, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The creep was charged with burglary, vandalism and three counts of peeping or spying into a building, the department said.<\/p>\n

Joe was being held without bail at the Rappahannock County Jail.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man pushing stolen grill in street at 3:40 a.m. has a well-traveled criminal history: Cleveland Heights Police Blotter<\/h3>\n

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio<\/p>\n

Warrant arrest: Superior Road<\/p>\n

At 3:40 a.m. Jan. 26, an officer on patrol saw a man walking in the street pushing a grill. Ten minutes earlier, the officer had seen the man standing near the entrance to Cain Park, at Lee and Superior roads, without the grill.<\/p>\n

The officer asked the man why he was walking in the street with a grill in 30-degree weather at 3:40 a.m. The man replied that he was retrieving the grill from his cousin\u2019s house and that he owned it. He could not provide an address or phone number for his cousin.<\/p>\n

The officer checked to see if the man had any warrants and found that he was wanted by several agencies. There were warrants for the man\u2019s arrest issued by police in Macedonia, for theft; South Euclid, for larceny, possession of criminal tools, theft and trespassing; Strongsville, for larceny; Brecksville, for theft; Mayfield, for trespassing; Maple Heights, for theft; and Middleburg Heights, for liquor possession. There was also a warrant issued by the Greater Cleveland Transit Authority police for trespassing.<\/p>\n

South Euclid police agreed to take the man into custody.<\/p>\n

During his arrest, police found on the man\u2019s person a possible crack pipe, a screwdriver and a coffee cup.<\/p>\n

Cleveland Heights police cited the suspect with possession of drug paraphernalia and walking in the street when a sidewalk was available. The grill was taken to the CHPD station for safekeeping.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Belle Meade officers arrest man driving his own stolen car<\/h3>\n

A senior citizen goes to jail after he is pulled over driving his own car which he has previously reported as being stolen.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an unusual case that played out Thursday afternoon. Around 1 p.m., a license plate reader registered a stolen car driving on Belle Meade Blvd.<\/p>\n

Within a few moments, Belle Meade Police Sgt. Jon Carter was behind the white Kia, and pulled the car over without incident. The driver, later identified as 75-year-old John Beasley, is cooperative and curious why the police are stopping him.<\/p>\n

Though the car registered as stolen, police confirmed Beasley was the registered owner of the car.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt turns out the vehicle is his. He reported it stolen. It had been repossessed. He did not tell the police that it was not stolen and he got it back, so it could be removed from the system. So, it was still in the system,\u201d said Sgt. Carter.<\/p>\n

It was then that police learned the man had two warrants for his arrest in Davidson County, one for misdemeanor trespassing and the other for felony vandalism.<\/p>\n

According to the arrest affidavit, around April 2019, Beasley had been evicted from a location on Abbott Martin Road. According to a witness, Beasley returned to the complex under the premise that he needed to pick up a present from his girlfriend who still lives at the location.<\/p>\n

According to the witness, \u201cBeasley walked around the victim\u2019s vehicle and when Beasley got back into the vehicle, the witness could smell paint and the witness saw the can sticking out of Beasley\u2019s jacket pocket. When the witness asked Beasley about the can, Beasley reportedly said it was whipped cream.\u201d<\/p>\n

The witness told police he did not know that Beasley planned to do this and he contacted the victim the next day. According to police, the victim\u2019s vehicle was spray-painted on three sides with red and green paint. The damage was valued at over $1,000.<\/p>\n

The warrant indicates that Beasley and the man have had several incidents in the past. Sgt. Carter said Beasley essentially got himself arrested by reporting his car stolen, then not rectifying that when he got his vehicle back.<\/p>\n

\u201cBasically he called the cops on himself. He completely forgot he reported it stolen. Even when I told him it is still showing as stolen, he said, it is not, it is my car. And then it finally clicked that he reported it when it was repo\u2019ed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Beasley has bonded out of Metro jail.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man arrested for allegedly trying to board plane with 22 pounds of meth at Orlando airport<\/h3>\n

A man who was arrested for allegedly trying to board a plane at Orlando International Airport carrying 22 pounds of crystal meth has told police that the drugs didn\u2019t belong to him.<\/p>\n

Eli Brown, of Long Beach, Calif. was spotted by airport security on the morning of Jan. 22 when he was trying to board a plane to Louisville, Ky., according to CBS-affiliate WKMG-TV.<\/p>\n

The 46-year-old suspect was reportedly carrying $900 in cash and 22 vacuum-sealed bags wrapped in white clothing in his backpack.<\/p>\n

Each bag contained 1 pound of meth, police said.<\/p>\n

Brown told investigators that the bag wasn\u2019t his. According to the affidavit, the suspect said that he arrived at Orlando International from Los Angeles, and then fell asleep at the gate.<\/p>\n

When he woke up, the backpack filled with the drug was next to him, he claimed, saying he assumed it was his bag since it was identical to the one he was carrying.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Orlando Police said in a tweet that the bust was \u201cone of the largest amounts of drugs anyone\u2019s recently tried to carry in person,\u201d adding that the stash was worth half a million dollars.<\/p>\n

Brown was arrested on a charge of trafficking in methamphetamine over 200 grams.<\/p>\n

He is being held in the Orange County Jail on a $500,000 dollar bond, according to Orlando public radio station WMFE.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man impersonating police officer pulled over cop in unmarked car: report<\/h3>\n

A man who allegedly impersonated a police officer in Las Vegas was arrested after pulling over a real cop in an unmarked vehicle.<\/p>\n

An on-duty Vegas officer in a plain patrol car busted Pedro Franco, 29, one day after he allegedly pulled over a driver on US 95 near Sunset Road in January, an arrest report shows.<\/p>\n

The driver told cops a suspect in a Hyundai Tucson \u2013 which was outfitted with red and blue lights on its grill \u2013 pulled him over but then drove off, police said.<\/p>\n

The alert motorist then followed the compact SUV and took down its license plate before relaying the incident to police later that day, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.<\/p>\n

Franco then tried the same scheme the following morning, on Jan. 23 \u2013 but this time picked the officer as his potential victim, police said.<\/p>\n

Like the day before, the Hyundai kept driving after the stop, but the officer followed the SUV to a nearby street where he took Franco Esquivel into custody, the report states.<\/p>\n

\u201cUpon closer inspection, after-market lights were observed to be affixed to the front grille of the vehicle in question,\u201d the arrest report shows.<\/p>\n

\u201cA manual-style light switch that activate(s) the red-and-blue lights was located inside of the vehicle, near the center console\/gear shift area.\u201d<\/p>\n

Franco, was busted on one count of impersonating a public official and attempted impersonation of a police officer, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.<\/p>\n

He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center, but has since been released on his own recognizance with \u201cintensive supervision,\u201d according to the Las Vegas Sun.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s expected back in court on March 24. He reportedly does not have an attorney listed in court logs.<\/p>\n

The Las Vegas Sun identified the suspect in the incidents as Pedro Franco Esquivel. A police spokesman told The Post on Wednesday that Franco is believed to use up to 19 different aliases.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Creep fakes heart attack to grope EMT at Bronx fire<\/h3>\n

A creep faked a heart attack at a Bronx fire scene and then groped an FDNY EMT who had responded, police said.<\/p>\n

The incident unfolded Thursday morning while police and fire officials were responding to a massive three-alarm blaze on Westchester Avenue near St. Lawrence Avenue in Soundview, police said.<\/p>\n

Around 7:30 a.m., Aaron Cervantes Mejia, 52, collapsed to the ground and appeared to be suffering some sort of cardiac arrest, according to cops.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old EMT jumped in to provide medical aid \u2014 but Mejia grabbed her, groping her chest and crotch over her clothes, police said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs she approached, she was assaulted, inappropriately grabbed and held,\u201d said Lillian Bonsignore, Chief of EMS. \u201cIt required the help of one of our co-workers to try to help her break out of the situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mejia, who lives just around the corner, was taken into custody by cops on scene and charged with forcible touching and sex abuse, according to police.<\/p>\n

Oren Barzilay, the president of FDNY EMS Local 2507 who represents the woman, called the act \u201cappalling\u201d and \u201cdespicable.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYesterday, a cop was shot; today, an EMT sexually assaulted, basically raped while on duty,\u201d Barzilay said. \u201cWe are thankful her colleagues were there to assist her and take her away from harm.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hold the FDNY and Mayor\u2019s Office accountable for the lack of self-defense training and tools we\u2019ve been asking for years to help keep our men and women safe.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
