Store Clerk Shoots Teen’s Car After Hampton Robbery; 2 Arrested<\/strong>

\nHAMPTON, NH \u2014 Two Seacoast teens were arrested and held without bail Thursday after a robbery at a gas station and later, accusations that one was involved in attempting to break into vehicles.<\/p>\n

Around 2 a.m., police were sent to the Speedway on Lafayette Road for a robbery report. An employee at the gas station stated “a group of people” had stolen alcohol from the store.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived, they learned a struggle ensued between the store clerk and two suspects in the gas station’s parking lot, according to Alex Reno, the deputy chief of police in Hampton.<\/p>\n

One of the suspects, later identified as Cameron Ayers, 19, of North Hampton was accused of grabbing alcohol from the store and fleeing. During the scuffle, Ayers “pulled out what the clerk believed to be (was) a handgun,” Reno said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

One shot in home invasion, suspect in custody<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nLA GRANDE \u2014 The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported a La Grande-area resident shot a home invader at around 4:26 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, who then disarmed the resident and assaulted him with the gun before the victim’s son took control of the moment.<\/p>\n

According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, Jose Jesus Diaz, 27, of Plains, Montana, broke into a garage at a residence on the 60000 block of Bushnell Road in southern La Grande and then broke into a vehicle in the garage, alerting the residents of the home.<\/p>\n

One resident armed with a rifle confronted Diaz. A violent struggle ensued, the sheriff’s office reported, and the rifle went off and Diaz was shot in the arm. According to the release, Diaz then disarmed the victim and began to assault them with it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
