Man shot during reported home invasion west of downtown Tulsa<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA woman apparently shot her former boyfriend during a reported home invasion on Tuesday evening. <\/p>\n

The man was hospitalized in stable condition with a gunshot wound to his chest, and Tulsa County Sheriff\u2019s Office detectives were interviewing the woman, Deputy Justin Green said.<\/p>\n

“When she called, she didn’t say that she had shot the invader,” Green said. “But apparently she did.” <\/p>\n

The shooting happened about 7:40 p.m. in the 5600 block of West Third Street.<\/p>\n

Green said the woman was cut by glass, but detectives aren’t yet sure about what happened before they arrived. <\/p>\n

“It’s our understanding they were at one point in time boyfriend and girlfriend,” Green said. “We’ve had a history of domestics here, so we’re kind of familiar with them.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Officer injured, man dead after screwdriver attack, police shooting<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA Las Vegas officer and three civilians shot and killed a man who stabbed another officer with a screwdriver Wednesday afternoon in the parking lot of a south valley shooting range.<\/p>\n

Police were called about 12:50 p.m. to The Range 702, 5999 Dean Martin Drive, after receiving a report of a man inside causing a \u201cdisturbance,\u201d Metropolitan Police Department Capt. Jamie Prosser said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe went into the business and started messing around with property that did not belong to him, and they asked him to leave,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Several people followed the man outside of the range as they waited for Metro officers to arrive. Investigators believe they were \u201censuring that he didn\u2019t re-enter,\u201d Prosser said.<\/p>\n

Once at the scene, two officers in the parking lot began calling out to the man,<\/p>\n

Prosser said, ordering him to the front of their patrol vehicle.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs they attempted to have more verbal contact with him, he pulled out a screwdriver and violently attacked one of our officers,\u201d Prosser said. \u201cAt that time, three citizens as well as her partner officer fired multiple rounds, striking the subject.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
