Biden, his pen(s), and his phone(s)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Ol’ Joe had a busy day yesterday. After his inauguration, attended by literally dozens of people, he redecorated the Oval Office (removing the bust of Churchill and putting up portraits of FDR and Cesar Chavez), and then got to work governing as his mentor President Obama had. With pen in hand and phones at the ready, President Biden signed 17 Executive Orders, proclamations, and directives, rolling back much of the Trump legacy.<\/p>\n

Biden’s eight EOs is vastly more than any other recent president on their arrival in office. George W Bush signed none on his first day and his 8th wasn’t issued until 03\/09\/01 (more than four months after taking office). Barack Obama signed two on his first day and his 8th was issued on 01\/30\/09.\u00a0 Donald Trump signed one on his first day and his 8th on 02\/03\/17. One could easily say Biden’s assault against Trump’s EOs is unprecedented<\/strong><\/em>. Ironic because only minutes earlier he had made a proclamation calling for “unity.”\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

So what’s in the Biden agenda for day one?<\/p>\n

As expected, he rejoined the Paris Climate Accords<\/a>, cancelled the travel ban from countries who like to export terrorism<\/a> (this one also requires the visa process to be expedited, which I’m sure won’t result in any corners being cut), made a mask mandate for federal property and all federal employees<\/a> (with no apparent common sense exemption for people who are alone like the postal carrier driving a route or those using federal land that are miles away from another person like you do when camping), rejoined the World Health Organization<\/a> (whose spectacularly abysmal response to the current pandemic led Trump to leave), and recommitted to the DACA program<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That wasn’t enough national security changes, so he’s halting the national emergency at the border and cancelling the construction of security barriers<\/a>, is moving to make the US less energy independent<\/a>, and is going to include those residing in the United States illegally for apportionment of Congressmen<\/a> (by the left’s logic this lessons the voting power of actual<\/em> Americans).<\/p>\n

Lastly, he’s Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government<\/a>. Part of that rescinds the Trump Administration’s ban on the leftist, racist “diversity training.” Said training was stopped by the Trump Administration because;<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has come to the president\u2019s attention that executive branch agencies have spent millions of taxpayer dollars to date \u2018training\u2019 government workers to believe divisive, anti-American propaganda,\u201d OMB director Russell Vought wrote in a memo to agency leaders.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor example, according to press reports, employees across the executive branch have been required to attend trainings where they are told that \u2018virtually all White people contribute to racism\u2019 or where they are required to say that they \u2018benefit from racism.\u2019 According to press reports, in some cases these training have further claimed that there is racism embedded in the belief that America is the land of opportunity or the belief that the most qualified person should receive a job.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
