There aren’t a lot of photos of the crowd that showed up for Biden’s inauguration yesterday. That’s because there wasn’t much of a crowd. People joked that they were deploying tens of thousands of troops and law enforcement to help fill out the audience. Turns out they outnumbered the attendees by about 50-to-1. I mean, just look at poor Bernie here all alone. They should have gotten a few national guardsmen to at least cuddle the poor old socialist.<\/p>\n

The National Guard had a quiet day in DC standing post against threats they helped prevent<\/a><\/h3>\n

It was a quiet day for the roughly 25,000 members of the National Guard sent to defend Washington against a potential second insurrection attempt during President Joe Biden\u2019s inauguration.<\/p>\n

It was \u201cuneventful,\u201d Lt. Col. Marshall Hunt \u2014 who commanded some 300 National Guard members from New York stationed at the Supreme Court and Library of Congress \u2014 told Military Times.<\/p>\n

\u201cUneventful equals success for us,\u201d he added.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ultimately 12 members of the National Guard were flagged during a background check and sent back home.<\/p>\n

Two of those removed from their posts were flagged for \u201cinappropriate comments or texts,\u201d Army Gen. Daniel Hokanson, chief of the Nation Guard Bureau, told reporters on Tuesday.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If they only found 12 people making inappropriate comments in a deployment of 25,000, they weren’t looking very hard.<\/p>\n

After nearly a year of constant riots, they’ve finally realized that overwhelming shows of force can work. It’ll be interesting to see if they do this against leftist rioters or if it’s only when the right wing folks get uppity do they call in more manpower than was needed to invade a South Pacific island held by fanatical, battle hardened Japanese troops.<\/p>\n
