Her excellency Mayor Bowser (D) of the District of Columbia says after O’Biden’s inauguration we’ll see a “new normal” of heightened security in the district. Democrats love them some new normal lately. Remember when masks, shutdowns, and social distancing were short-term pandemic mitigation efforts. Well, they’re the new normal. So too is apparently the prospect of having two infantry divisions worth of National Guard troops posted in and around D.C.<\/p>\n

Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser said on Friday that even after the presidential inauguration on Jan. 20 the city will have to maintain heightened security in light of the Capitol rights.<\/p>\n

Asked if the extensive security measures around the city would be reversed after the inauguration, Bowser said, \u201cWe are going to go back to a new normal,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

“I think our entire country is going to have to deal with how our intelligence apparatus, security apparatus at every level deal with a very real and present threat to our nation.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This certainly sounds like someone who wants a police state. Ironic from a woman who allowed a “Defund the police” message<\/a> to remain painted on one of her streets as part of a BLM message.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
