Cleveland Lyft driver fired for admitting to firing legally-owned gun during attempted carjacking<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nCLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A Lyft driver has been fired by the ridesharing service after she admitted to firing her legally-owned and licensed gun during an attempted carjacking.<\/p>\n

Cynthia Norman said she picked up a pair of young men \u2014 likely in their 20s \u2014 at an apartment complex in Cleveland\u2019s Nottingham neighborhood around 1:00 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n

As she arrived at the destination, the NEO Sports Plant, formerly known as the Euclid Sports Plant, she became concerned as it appeared the facility was closed.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when the ride turned violent.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had to fight with these two men. I had one choking me from the back,\u201d Norman told 19 News.<\/p>\n

Norman said the other passenger, breaking Lyft\u2019s COVID-19 protocol, insisted on sitting in the front seat.<\/p>\n

She said he started punching her in the face as the man in the backseat choked her.<\/p>\n

She was driving a rental car and refused to back down.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man Fatally Shot After Road Rage Incident in Scottsdale<\/strong>
\nPolice in Scottsdale say a man has been fatally shot after a road rage incident.<\/em><\/p>\n

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. (AP) \u2014 A man has been fatally shot after a road rage incident in Scottsdale, according to police.<\/p>\n

They said 42-year-old Nathan Lindman died after the shooting Sunday.<\/p>\n

Police said Lindman and 27-year-old Andre Hall became involved in a road rage incident.<\/p>\n

Hall left the scene and returned to his Scottsdale residence, but he was followed by Lindman and a verbal altercation between the two ensued in the parking lot.<\/p>\n

During the altercation, Lindman allegedly reached into a bag.<\/p>\n

The other man told police that he feared Lindman was reaching for a firearm, so he drew his own weapon and shot him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
