The folks at Military Phony<\/a> send us their work on Kasey Noah Giorgio<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0Giorgio comes to us from the Northeastern United States.\u00a0 He is recently listed as living in Saint Johnsbury Vermont and Bethlehem New Hampshire.<\/p>\r\n

He was in and out of shelters last year but apparently had a meltdown<\/a> over the lack of available shelter housing.<\/p>\r\n

It appears he spent some of his youth in Florida.\u00a0 He graduated from Vero Beach High School in Vero Beach, Florida.\u00a0 Giorgio is 28 years old at the time of this writing – January 2021.\u00a0 His middle initial is also listed as “H” and “R.”<\/p>\r\n

Let’s just go ahead and check the box with a bathroom selfie – so we can get it out of the way.<\/p>\r\n

Giorgio made headlines recently in several news reports due to him allegedly claiming he was a Navy SEAL just before stealing some beer.\u00a0 For those that want full details – it was a \u201ctall boy\u201d of Four Loko Sour Apple and a 12-pack of Natural Ice on Dec. 30.\u00a0 Apparently the alcohol of choice for a Navy SEAL.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

According to the police report<\/a> – also provided below – Giorgio was picked up days later…<\/p>\r\n

Giorgio apparently wore a “Vietnam Veteran” hat and also told police he was a Navy SEAL.<\/p>\r\n

Neither newspaper article confirmed or refuted Giorgio’s status as a Navy SEAL, so it came to Military Phony.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

After contacting the UDT\/SEAL archives and checking the UDT\/SEAL database it was discovered that there is NO record of “Kasey Giorgio” or any other variation of his name ever completing BUD\/S Training or assigned to any SEAL teams.<\/p>\r\n

The Department of Defense Manpower Data Center \/ SCRA database was searched from the year 2009 when Giorgio would have been 16 years old, to the present.\u00a0 Each result was negative.\u00a0 Below is a typical result from 2011-2013 when Giorgio would have been 17-19 and represented the highest likelihood of when he would have served.\u00a0 If one were to search for 01\/01\/2013 – days before his 20th birthday, the database will look back for two years to 01\/01\/2011.<\/p>\r\n

Additionally, a search of Kasey Giorgio in the Navy Department Awards Web Service (NDAWS) produced nothing.\u00a0 This reinforces that there was no Navy military service in the 2000s.<\/p>\r\n

OTHER RESEARCH<\/strong> In Florida, Giorgio was charged with Burglary of a Conveyance (2015) and plead guilty.\u00a0 He was arrested for Retail Theft and Driving Under the Influence (2013), so it appears there may be a pattern to his behavior.

This activity would be incompatible with serving as a Navy SEAL.\u00a0 At the very least, it would not set well with his command.

DISCUSSION and SUMMARY

<\/strong>There is no record of Kasey Giorgio attending BUD\/S-SEAL training and no record of him serving with a SEAL Team.

The Department of the Navy was not able to locate any official military records for Giorgio.

If Giorgio has used these claims to gain anything of value – aside from the beer or obtaining leniency from a court of law – he may be in violation of the Stolen Valor Act.
