\nPORT ARTHUR, Texas \u2014 A Texas man was fatally shot by a homeowner Sunday after the man held a family at gunpoint in what authorities called a home invasion.<\/p>\n

Terence Ellies, 27, was shot by the homeowner after allegedly forcing his way into the Port Arthur home Sunday night, KBTV reported.<\/p>\n

According to police, Ellies was one of three men who broke into the home at about 8:30 p.m. CT, the Beaumont Enterprise reported.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man armed with knife shot, killed by police, DA says<\/strong><\/p>\n

A man is dead after he was shot by police during a domestic violence incident in Brockton, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.<\/p>\n

Officials say Brockton police responded to the incident at 33 Overlook Avenue shortly before 3 p.m. Monday.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, two officers encountered a man who was armed with a knife outside the home. Police opened fire and the man was struck.<\/p>\n

The man was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Attempted home invasion robbery leaves 2 fatally shot, 2 others wounded in Riverside County community<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nGunfire exchanged between residents and people who broke into their home in La Cresta, west of Murrieta, early Saturday morning left two people dead and two others wounded, authorities said Monday, Dec. 28.<\/p>\n

Investigators believe a number of suspects \u2014 it wasn\u2019t immediately confirmed how many \u2014 forced their way into a home on 37000 block of Calle de Lobo and attacked one of its residents, Riverside County Sheriff\u2019s officials said in a news release. Shots were fired during the altercation, and four people were hit.<\/p>\n

Deputies were summoned at 4:01 a.m., and found two people dead when they arrived, Sheriff\u2019s officials said. One decedent was a suspect in what the agency called a botched home invasion robbery. Information was not immediately released on the second person who was fatally shot.<\/p>\n

A second suspect in the robbery and one other person who was shot were taken to a hospital. Details regarding the severity of their wounds was not immediately available.<\/p>\n

Sheriff\u2019s officials believe at least one more suspect fled in a car. A detailed description of any possible outstanding suspect or vehicle was not available Monday afternoon.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
