Fight over parking between neighbors leaves 1 man shot and killed<\/strong><\/p>\n

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A fight over parking between neighbors on Christmas Day erupted into a shooting, leaving one man dead in north Harris County, according to the Harris County Sherriff’s Office.<\/p>\n

It happened around 7:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Sawgrass Ridge Lane.<\/p>\n

Deputies said the shooter called the sheriff’s office and surrendered at a nearby truck stop with what he claimed was the gun he used.<\/p>\n

They said the man told them several men approached him with guns.<\/p>\n

The shooter said he fired his weapon for fear of being shot himself.<\/p>\n

“As of right now, we’ve made the determination that the individual who shot the deceased male is making a claim of self-defense,” said Sgt. Jason Brown.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Store clerk shoots man attempting to rob convenience store, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

TUNICA,Miss. \u2014 Unexpected shots were fired when a young man attempted to rob a Mississippi convenience store, Tunica County Sheriff\u2019s Office reported.<\/p>\n

According to police, at exactly 6:42 p.m. on December 23rd, they received a call about an armed robbery at a local store.<\/p>\n

The suspect walked into the store with a handgun and demanded money from the store clerk, police said.<\/p>\n

During the robbery, the store clerk shot the suspect who then fled out of the store, per reports.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

San Bernardino County deputies who responded to an early Christmas Day crash in Grand Terrace reported finding a destructive device inside an abandoned vehicle.<\/p>\n

Investigators believe the driver fled on foot after the single-car crash near the intersection of Glendora Drive and Barton Road at around 12:30 a.m. Friday, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff\u2019s Department.<\/p>\n

A bullet had gone through the vehicle\u2019s rear window, shattering it before ending up on the dashboard, officials said. Deputies said they also found a small amount of blood in the center console, and an anti-tank rocket propelled grenade launcher \u201cin plain view\u201d in the backseat.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
