Let\u2019s dump the polite terms and call a spade a spade: it\u2019s a ripoff meant to burden the taxpayers, whether they are private individuals, small businesses, or public facilities like hospitals and schools. The insidious part is that the cost to you and to the public will be hidden in your utility bills. Ask the people in California who have seen their utility bills rise exponentially because of the state’s addiction to utility taxes derived from so-called “green” energy sources. As I have found while keeping up with that state’s idiot governor’s antics, the residents lose their electric power on his whim, usually at night. The damage to the environment and to wildlife is inexcusable, but the Greenbeaners and politicians who suck up to them to get votes simply do not care – no matter what they spout in public<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Now, since I had a new furnace\/AC HVAC system installed in November, and it was necessary as the old HVAC was near its end, the idea of going through another change for no reason other than “because WE said so” is not going to get support from someone like me.\u00a0 But these buggers do not care what you’ve done to improve your home. They care only about what they think they can make you, the taxpayer, knuckle under to do, so that they can feel good about themselves.<\/p>\n
