Robber shot by Maplewood store clerk was wearing ankle bracelet from previous holdup<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nMAPLEWOOD \u2014 A gunman who was shot by a clerk at a Maplewood cellphone store was wearing an ankle bracelet when police found him bleeding on the floor of the store’s break room, officials said Thursday.<\/p>\n

Malik Dorsey survived the shooting and was in surgery after being shot three times, Maplewood police Chief Steve Kruse said. The robbery happened about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday at Boost Mobile, 7222 Manchester Road.<\/p>\n

St. Louis County prosecutors charged Dorsey, 21, with robbery and armed criminal action. He lives in the 7600 block of Natural Bridge Road in north St. Louis County.<\/p>\n

The store clerk was alone in the store when Dorsey walked in with a handgun to rob him, authorities said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Police: Suspect in string of Jacksonville robberies killed by homeowner<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nJACKSONVILLE, Ark.- Police in Jacksonville said the suspect in a series of robberies is dead after being shot by a homeowner while attempting another theft.<\/p>\n

When officers with the Jacksonville Police Department responded to reports of a robbery near Military Road and Bailey Street Monday night, they discovered the body of a man matching the description of a robbery suspect from an earlier call.<\/p>\n

Dispatchers received that call just after 8 p.m. about an attempted robbery at the Jacksonville Stop and Shop. Two hours later, police said the suspect attempted to rob another victim outside her home.<\/p>\n

Investigators said the suspect\u2019s third robbery attempt turned fatal when the man\u2019s intended victim shot the suspect in self-defense after the suspect shot at them.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
