Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz*, Guam, became the Corps’ first new base in nearly 70 years. <\/p>\n

Camp Blaz will soon be home to nearly 5,000 Marines of III Marine Expeditionary Force, currently based on Okinawa.<\/p>\n

Odd note, in early 2019 part of the base\u2019s construction was halted when prehistoric tools and pottery fragments were found on the site.<\/p>\n
