I&#8217;d like to once again thank him for the help.<\/p>\n<h3>Upstate NY mayor busted with crack cocaine after brief chase: police<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>The mayor of a small upstate New York village was arrested Tuesday for allegedly possessing crack cocaine, cops said.<\/p>\n<p>Massena Mayor Tim Currier was busted after a brief police pursuit through the village near the Canadian border at about 12:25 p.m., according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Currier, 55, was targeted as part of an undercover investigation of drug sales and possession, the St. Lawrence County Sheriff\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n<p>As Currier was fleeing police, he is accused of chucking one gram of crack out a passenger window.<\/p>\n<p>He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, and failure to comply with a police officer.<\/p>\n<p>The mayor was arraigned remotely on Tuesday and ordered by Morristown Town Justice James Phillips to reappear at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>Currier has been Massena\u2019s mayor since 2014. Before that, he was chief of the Massena Police Department.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Source; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/upstate-ny-mayor-busted-with-crack-cocaine-after-brief-police-chase\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fox News<\/a><\/p>\n<p>More mayoral shenanigans;<\/p>\n<h3>Kentucky mayor falls asleep on fast-food drive-thru line, crashes into pole: report<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>A Kentucky mayor was arrested for driving under the influence after falling asleep in a White Castle drive-thru line and crashing into a utility pole Tuesday night, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Louisville Metro Police officers found Shively Mayor Beverly Chester-Burton standing outside her silver Cadillac after smashing into a pole as she was trying to leave the parking lot around 11 p.m., the Louisville Courier-Journal reported.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses said Chester-Burton fell asleep behind the wheel at the fast-food drive-thru line, and even had to knock on her window to wake her up, according to a police report obtained by the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>Cops reported Chester-Burton reeked of alcohol and failed a sobriety test when she couldn\u2019t walk in a straight line.<\/p>\n<p>Chester-Burton, who was elected Shively\u2019s first Black mayor in 2018, told police she had dinner and two apple martinis at 5 p.m., but then changed her story saying she had the drinks at 9 p.m., the police report states.<\/p>\n<p>The mayor was booked into Louisville Metro Department of Corrections and released Wednesday. He said he hadn\u2019t realized how potent the candies were.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was still eating them, very confident that I was going to pass. Better call the police for help.<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>A Pennsylvania man in a stolen SUV called police for help Friday after he ran out of gas and was stranded on the side of the road.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel M. Rizza, 20, called Pennsylvania state police around 5 p.m. after he ran out of gas in a grey Audi SUV, the Altoona Mirror reported. When he was told a trooper would respond, he said he didn\u2019t want an officer to show up and hung up, WTAJ reported.<\/p>\n<p>The SUV was parked on state game land with its hazard lights on when a Pennsylvania State game warden arrived, investigators said. State police arrived shortly after as Rizza was talking to the game warden.<\/p>\n<p>State police ran the vehicle\u2019s information and found out it had been reported stolen in Altoona earlier in the day. Investigators said Rizza waived his Miranda rights and told them he stole the vehicle, the Mirror reported.<\/p>\n<p>Rizza was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, police said.
