Worker at Akron cellphone store shoots armed robber, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA male armed with a handgun attempting to rob a cellphone store in the North Hill neighborhood was wounded when an employee in the store shot him, police say.<\/p>\n

The robbery occurred at about 7:50 p.m. Tuesday at the Metro PCS store at the corner of North Main Street and East Tallmadge Avenue. The suspect pulled out a handgun took money from the cash register, then tried to break into a safe in the store, police say.<\/p>\n

It was then the worker pulled out his own handgun, fired several shots at the suspect, then ran from the store, according to police. When officers arrived, they found the suspect wounded in the store.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Woman tells dispatcher she shot intruder in her Bellbrook home<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA woman told a dispatcher that she shot a man who intruded into her Bellbrook home Saturday night.<\/p>\n

In a 9-1-1 call, the woman told a dispatcher that she was sitting in her garage when the man, the father of her child, entered her home uninvited.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s never been in my house. I don\u2019t deal with him, I don\u2019t talk with him,\u201d the woman said.<\/p>\n

Andre Evans, 40, of Dayton, was identified by the Montgomery County Coroner\u2019s Office as the person who died at Miami Valley South after an incident at a residence on the 1900 block of North Regent Park Drive. The cause and manner of his death is still under investigation.<\/p>\n

BCSO: Suspected burglar shot, killed by man he was attacking<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nWhat was supposed to be a regular trip to the ATM for an Albuquerque man and his family, turned into a deadly shooting. However, the Bernalillo County Sheriff\u2019s Office believes this shooting may be justified.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson with BCSO says so far, all the evidence in this shooting is pointing to self-defense. \u201cWe received a call from somebody in the south valley that they had seen their husband fire at least one round at an individual that had assaulted him with a machete,\u201d says Jayme Fuller.<\/p>\n

BCSO says it happened on Saturday night when a man\u2019s wife called 911 to tell them her husband was being attacked by another man, while he was at the Wells Fargo ATM on Bridge near Sunset. Deputies say that attacker was 31-year-old Jaime Roman.<\/p>\n

Deputies say Roman went after the man with a machete as he was walking back to his car with his entire family in it. At that point, the man who was attacked by Roman, fired at least one shot, killing Roman.<\/p>\n

Right now, the Sheriff\u2019s Office says it looks like this was a case of self-defense. \u201cThere is such thing as a justifiable homicide when it comes to self-defense, especially in the state of New Mexico,\u201d says Fuller.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
