Prosecutor: no charges filed after fatal shooting near Hy’s Market<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nYakima County Prosecutor Joseph Brusic announced Wednesday that the Prosecutor’s Office has decided not to file charges against Jonathan Lopez, Mickael Garcia and Angel Garcia in the shooting death of Marcos Mendoza-Guillen that happened Friday, November 20 near Hy’s Market in Yakima.<\/p>\n

In a letter to Yakima Police Department Detective Matt Lee, Brusic says he made the decision “after a full and fair evaluation of all the facts known currently with the underlying laws of the State of Washington, especially those involving self-defense.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Resident shoots 2 suspects in Lynchburg home invasion<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThe Lynchburg Police Department is investigating a home invasion that occurred on Wooldridge Circle early Wednesday morning, Nov. 25.<\/p>\n

According to police, at 1:40 a.m., officers responded to the 100-block of Wooldridge Circle for a report of a burglary in progress.<\/p>\n

They say two men knocked on a residence and assaulted the resident before trying to enter the home. The resident shot both suspects who suffered non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

27-year-old James Franklin of Roanoke is charged with breaking and entering and assault and battery and 26-year-old Alan Douglas Mould of Lynchburg is charged with breaking and entering and assault and battery.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
