Three Thugs Run from Wife With a Gun \u2013 More Armed Citizen Stories<\/strong><\/p>\n

A woman was asleep in her bed when she heard her husband’s voice. She heard the sounds of a fight down the hall and her husband shout in pain. She rolled out of bed and grabbed the gun they keep between the mattresses. She moved toward the center of the house where she saw several men beating her husband. At least one of the intruders was armed. The armed man hit her husband with his gun, and then pointed the gun at her. The defending woman shot one of the attackers several times. All three intruders ran from the home and drove away.<\/p>\n

Police arrested one of the attackers at a nearby hospital and arrested a second man soon after. The attackers were charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Each was held in jail on a hundred thousand dollars bail.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Linn County Attorney concludes no criminal charges warranted in August 30 Palo home invasion shooting death<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Linn County Attorney\u2019s Office determined that Jordan Schulte\u2019s actions were justified when he shot and killed Kevin Harris on August 30 after Harris broke into Schulte\u2019s Palo home.<\/p>\n

Linn County Attorney Jerry Vander Sanden said in a news release that he concurs with Linn County Sheriff investigators in their conclusion that Schulte\u2019s actions were justified under the law to protect himself and his family.<\/p>\n

On August 30, officials said Kevin Harris had broken into Schulte\u2019s home and threatened him. That\u2019s when Schulte shot Harris.<\/p>\n

The county attorney\u2019s announcement came after completing a review of the Linn County Sheriff\u2019s Office investigative file about the incident.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
