Virginia robbery suspect dead after wounding officer<\/strong>

\nA Virginia officer was shot and wounded early Monday after chasing after a robbery suspect who was killed in an exchange of gunfire with other officers, according to reports.<\/p>\n

The incident took place around 5 a.m. after police were called to a Holiday Inn in Alexandria\u2019s Old Town section for a report of gunshots, NBC 4 Washington reported. At the scene, police determined the gunshots were related to a robbery.<\/p>\n

Police said the officer was shot after chasing the robbery suspect on foot and exchanging gunfire with the individual.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A man opened fire Friday on a prankster who fired paintballs at him after mistaking the paintball gun for a real gun, according to police in Michigan City.<\/p>\n

Authorities said the 40-year-old man was pumping gas at a BP gas station when he began to hear popping sounds and felt stings on his body.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe (man) then saw someone out of the passenger side widow of a passing vehicle with what appeared to be a gun,\u201d police said. \u201cThe (man), thinking that he was being shot at by the passenger in this vehicle, drew his concealed firearm and fired several shots at the vehicle.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
