MrsAW1, SIL and I were watching the talking heads last night- an inset screen showed real time Philly IPs looting a Family Dollar store. Brazen doesn’t do justice- one young lady had her four door econobox sedan so stuffed with loot the hatch-back wouldn’t shut; another worthy made off with what appeared to be a clothes washing machine, complete with hand cart. It was both infuriating and hilarious to watch, an odd combination. But all was not sweetness and light among the thieves.<\/p>\n

Eleven people were shot during riots in Mayor Jim Kenney\u2019s (D) Philadelphia last night, as violence reached a point of \u201clooters shooting looters,\u201d Fox 29\u2019s Steve Keeley reported<\/p>\n

Tuesday night was the second consecutive night of looting, following the fatal police shooting of Walter Wallace Jr. on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday night at 9:38 p.m., CBS Philly\u2019s Joe Holden tweeted, \u201cPhiladelphia Police commanders say the situation has \u2018rapidly gone downhill\u2019 along Aramingo Ave. \u2014 a \u2018total loss,\u2019 they say, from looting.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

On Wednesday morning Fox 29\u2019s Keeley tweeted:
\n11 people shot while looting in Philadelphia so far since last night. \u201cLooters were shooting looters.\u201d \u201c50 yr old man that had his car filled then was carjacked and had all his stolem (sic) stiff (sic) re-stolen from him\u201d from @PhillyPolice on scene of looting tell FOX 29. @FOX29philly<\/em><\/p>\n

Fox News reported<\/a>, \u201cAbout 1,000 people took the streets of the city of Brotherly Love late Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning purportedly to demand justice for the death of Walter Wallace Jr.\u201d Stores throughout Philadelphia were looted and property was damaged.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
