Israel and Sudan agreed to normalize ties in a U.S. negotiated deal on Friday, ending decades of hostility as one of Africa\u2019s largest countries joined a broad diplomatic realignment in the region.<\/p>\n
The agreement allows Sudan to be removed from a list of countries the U.S. considers state sponsors of terrorism, which has blocked the country from getting aid from international financial institutions.<\/p>\n

Sudanese officials confirmed on Thursday that a senior U.S.-Israeli delegation flew to Sudan this week to wrap up a deal that would make Sudan the third Arab country to normalize ties with Israel this year.<\/p>\n
Such a deal would deepen Sudan\u2019s engagement with the West after President Donald Trump\u2019s conditional agreement this week to remove the North African nation from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.<\/p>\n
Trump\u2019s national security adviser, Robert O\u2019Brien, told the \u201cFox & Friends\u201d program on Thursday morning that \u201cthere\u2019s more to come\u201d after the recent U.S.-brokered accords<\/a> between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think we\u2019re going to have some announcements soon on that front,\u201d O\u2019Brien said.<\/p>\n
