It may have been filmed on Novaya Zemlya but that has not been confirmed. – article

Someone online elsewhere was complaining bitterly that the bears would not be scavenging Russian garbage trucks if the northern ice wasn’t so thin, but since it’s been measured recently at a mere 3 meters (9.9 feet) to 4 meters (13.2 feet), I have doubts that the polar bears really give a flying frak in space about ice, unless it may have seals and walruses to attack, when they can go to the Scrounge Garbage Cafe with a lot less effort.

Note also that in the photos, several of the bears have cubs with them, which look to be at about 1/3 of their growth on the way to adulthood. Since a polar bear cub takes 5 years to reach adulthood, these cubs do not look as though their growth is one bit stunted. They do, in fact, look quite fat and healthy and about halfway through their normal rate of growth, which means that they will hang around with Mama Bear and learn bad habits such as raiding village garbage dumps and attacking stalled garbage trucks. The glass in that truck’s windows is bulletproof, just so you know the driver does have protection. I’m also sure that bears, being the very smart and opp0rtunistic critters that they are, would willingly take on a protection racket for the garbage truck drivers.

And we’re supposed to have snow in my AO by Wednesday, about a week ahead of earliest snow for the past five years. Things are definitelyc changing. We have a plethora of wildlife around here where I live: too many coyotes, an increasing number of birds of prey (eagles, buzzardsn owls, and hawks), ducks, geese, pheasants, quail and turkeys, to name a few, and a deer herd than can only be thinned by the state or county DNR people. Some hunters are allowed to get permits to cull the herds in the forest preserves at this time of year, but the suburbs have become too full of housing plopped out in the middle of nowhere, and there goes good hunting and farming land. And people complain that their gardens are mooched on by deer. I wonder why.

Enjoy the coming hunting season. Ice fishing and ice racing will be coming soon, if it gets cold enough here.

Photo: Siberian Times Polar bears go after Russian garbage truck. – 16 bears v. 1 driver, … Yer Friday FunnyRead more

[407

post-106501","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-humor
["GET
