Bon appetit!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Slow-Cooker Beef Roast with Onions and Potatoes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Onion and potatoes add Old-World flavor to a family favorite beef roast. You may want to add a good green salad to the menu, or a side dish of cut-up veggies, but make sure the bread is fresh and the butter is spreadable. Real food for real people &#8211; does it every time.<\/p>\n<p>By\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bettycrocker.com\/about-us\">Betty Crocker Kitchens<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 <\/strong>large sweet onion, cut in half, then cut into thin slices<\/p>\n<p>3-lb boneless beef bottom round roast<\/p>\n<p><strong>3 <\/strong>baking potatoes, cut into 1 1\/2- to 2-inch cubes<\/p>\n<p><strong>2 <\/strong>cloves garlic, finely chopped<\/p>\n<p><strong>1 \u00be <\/strong>cups Progresso\u2122 beef flavored broth (from 32-oz carton)<\/p>\n<p><strong>1 <\/strong>package (1 oz) onion soup mix (from 2-oz box)<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bc <\/strong>cup Gold Medal\u2122 all-purpose flour<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steps<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 <\/strong>In 5- to 6-quart slow cooker, place onion. If beef roast comes in netting or is tied, remove netting or strings. Place beef on onion. Place potatoes and garlic around beef. In small bowl, mix 1 1\/4 cups of the broth and the dry soup mix; pour over beef. (Refrigerate remaining broth.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>2 <\/strong>Cover; cook on Low heat setting 9 to 10 hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3 <\/strong>Remove beef and vegetables from cooker; place on serving platter. Cover to keep warm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4 <\/strong>In a small bowl, mix remaining 1\/2 cup broth and the flour; gradually stir into juices in cooker. Increase heat setting to High. Cover; cook about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce has thickened. Serve sauce over beef and vegetables.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Expert Tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Warm frozen dinner rolls while the juices are thickening in the slow cooker.
