Burglary suspect shot by business owner in Jacksonville Beach<\/strong><\/p>\n

A man who tried to burglarize a Jacksonville Beach business is recovering after being shot by the business owner Monday morning, according to police.<\/p>\n

The Jacksonville Beach Police Department says officers were called to 314 14th Ave. N. for a burglary in progress at 2:28 a.m. When officers arrived, they discovered the business owner had shot the suspect who was described as a 30-year-old man about 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 210 pounds.<\/p>\n

The suspect fled from the scene, police say, and was found by officers about one block west of the business. The suspect was later identified as Daniel Ifeanvi Nwobi, according to police. Police immediately rendered medical attention, and the Nwobi was taken by rescue crews to Memorial Hospital.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Another arrest in Tinder date robbery<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA second person has been charged in connection with an attempted robbery in Covington in which police say Tinder was used to lure the victim.<\/p>\n

Police have charged Phillip Snyder, 19, of Covington, with robbery, according to a press release today from Covington Lt. Col. Brian Valenti.<\/p>\n

Snyder admitted striking the intended victim in the face, Valenti said.<\/p>\n

Covington police said Sierra Wayman, 19, of Covington, was in the Kenton County Detention Center on a charge of robbery on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Officers dispatched to Wayman\u2019s home on Bell Court shortly before 9 p.m. Monday found two shooting victims, according to police. One of them was Snyder. The other man is still in the hospital, but charges have not been filed against him at this time, Valenti said.<\/p>\n

Police identified the shooter, Peyton Browning of Covington, and contacted him. Browning told police he had just shot two people and agreed to go to police headquarters for an interview, Valenti said Wednesday.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
