A New York Times investigation found this policy was never based on science, but instead on politics and economics,” tweeted the NY Times with a link to an article detailing the issue.

As we reported back on January 31, the WHO repeatedly urged countries not to impose border controls, in part to avoid the “stigmatization” of Chinese people.

In other words, not being seen to be racist and preventing people’s feelings from being hurt was more important than stopping the spread of the pandemic.

Then in April, we documented how the WHO blocked doctors from urging countries to impose border controls to stop the spread of coronavirus.

“So the official meeting records say there was a divergence of views but they won’t actually go into detail about who was trying to block it. But there were doctors there who wanted to issue travel bans and the World Health Organization blocked it,” reported Sky News Australia.

The next month, scientists in Brazil also confirmed that the countries most affected by the coronavirus spread were the ones who continued to allow unrestricted travel across their borders.

Read the rest here: Summit News

Next, seems the guards in NYC’s “The Tombs” have a sense of humor.

Crips gang member sues Department of Correction staff at NYC jail for locking him up with Bloods gang

By STEPHEN REX BROWN

He told correction officers he was a member of the Crips — and then they locked him up with the Bloods.

A Brooklyn man claimed in a lawsuit filed Friday that jail staff at the Manhattan Detention Complex in Lower Manhattan set the stage for his ambush by gang rivals, then looked the other way as they broke his jaw.

Khyree Manson says he told officers at the jail — known as The Tombs — on June 14 that he was a member of the Crips as part of the standard intake process.

Court records show that he was being held on a misdemeanor assault charge for domestic violence.

Despite his affiliation, Manson was assigned to 5 South, which holds Bloods and Folk Nation gangsters, according to the suit filed in Manhattan Federal Court.

Embrace diversity, Khyree.
