\nAs I wrote last week, Code Pink had a vigil at the White House<\/a> this weekend since most of the barren old hags don’t have children with whom they can spend Mothers’ Day. Among them was Uncle Jimbo’s heart throb, The Peace Fairy<\/a>;

I snagged those photos from the Code Pink’s Flickr Set of the event yesterday. The top picture is one of two that they’ve posted of their assault on a military display several blocks away (Washington Post<\/a> link);<\/p>\n

A war of worldviews was waged yesterday on the Mall, as U.S. troops showing parents and children the workings of howitzers, Humvees and helicopters were confronted by women from the antiwar group Code Pink, who called the display of arms on Mother’s Day “offensive.”<\/p>\n

With police trying in vain to direct the protesters away from the exhibit, part of Public Service Recognition Week, dozens of protesters unfurled a massive banner and sang its message: “We will not raise our children to kill another mother’s child.”<\/p>\n

With the country engaged in two protracted wars, the demonstration brought together mothers who stood on opposite sides of the fence.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

According to the Post, one Code Pink hag jumped up on a Hummv and spun a pink hula hoop around her waist until police made her stop.<\/p>\n

In my less tolerant days, I walked through a Mothers’ Day protest in Lafayette Park and I yelled at the top of my lungs that Code Pink are the terrorists, after I heard a speaker call the troops terrorists. I was immediately surrounded by smelly hippies who called all me sorts of filthy names and chastized me for disrupting their event. They threatened me with physical harm (pretty funny if you think about it – anorexic hags and the men who service them threatening me). Of course, I stood my ground until the Park Police came over and asked me to leave – which I did immediately and I shook the hand of the cop who escorted me from the park.<\/p>\n

Think Code Pink would do the same?<\/p>\n

Upon Code Pink’s arrival, U.S. Park Police instructed protesters to leave the area so as not to disrupt a permitted event, said Sgt. David Schlosser, a Park Police spokesman. One 47-year-old Tallahassee woman was arrested for shoving a Park Police detective, he said. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I can’t imagine being 47 years old and shoving a cop. Seriously. What kind of people do that?<\/p>\n

Then I ran across a name that’s new to me;<\/p>\n

“It is the exact opposite intention of Mother’s Day,” Code Pink member Lori Perdue, a U.S. Air Force and Indiana National Guard veteran, said of the military display. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So I did a little research on Lori Perdue. It seems she’s an Air Force veteran, alright. She also shares a job skill with Matthis Chiroux – a military journalist. She hasn’t been in the war, but she’d like you to think she was. She was stationed in Turkey and Utah in the 90s and got out of the service before 9\/11 – that’s why she’s probably not in IVAW. A 2007 article says she is also a member of the Geezers For Peace.<\/p>\n

She sure does like to bring up that Air Force service as part of her credibility, though. Nearly everything about her on the internet mentions it.<\/p>\n

Perdue must want to be part of Ward Reilly Fakers’ Club.<\/p>\n

One last photo of some sort confrontation between that fruity guy who dresses in pink and hangs on Medea like a puppy, a Marine and a DC cop;

I don’t know what was going on but if the fruity guy’s involved, it ain’t good.<\/p>\n
