In the days after the George Floyd death, many lefties, including Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, urged people to donate to the MN Freedom Fund. “If you\u2019re able to, chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota,” Harris tweeted on June 1. The MN Freedom Fund (MFF) was ostensibly for providing bail money to those mostly peaceful “protesters” arrested by the evil police.<\/p>\n

FOX 9<\/a> reported earlier this summer that MFF had raised $35 million in the wake of George Floyd’s death in the custody of the Minneapolis Police Department. A recent update<\/a> on its website indicates that it has spent at least $3,475,000 bailing people out of jail in recent months, with just $210,000 of that being spent bailing out protesters and rioters who were arrested in the unrest immediately following Floyd’s death.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fox News<\/a> is also reporting that some of that money has been used to bail out people like previously adjudicated sex offender Timothy Wayne Columbus. Columbus was arrested after a judge issued a warrant for his arrest on the charge of first degree criminal sexual conduct (for sexually penetrating a victim under the age of 13, she was 8 at the time he allegedly raped her), which is a 30 year felony, and other related charges.<\/p>\n

A few days after being arrested, he filed paperwork with the courts to have his posted bail money refunded to the MFF. From the information in the Fox News report, it appears as if the MFF posted $75,000 bail for his conditional release.<\/p>\n

FOX 9 also first exposed some of the non-protesters being bailed out by MFF, including\u00a0Darnika Floyd, who was charged with second-degree murder after allegedly stabbing a friend to death, and Christopher Boswell, who is facing charges of sexual assault and kidnapping. The group put up $100,000 on behalf of Floyd and $350,000 on behalf of Boswell.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Biden Campaign had yet to respond to a request for comment when Fox pushed out the story.<\/p>\n
