In a recent article on RealClearPolitics, highlighting his appearance on Tucker Carlson Tonight, journalist and sportswriter Jason Whitlock made the statement that “white liberals are the actual bigots.”\u00a0 He went further to say that “Liberalism is the new KKK Hood.”<\/p>\n

“The branding has been so strong that if you put on this label of being a liberal, there is virtually nothing you can do negative against black people that will be seen as negative,” Whitlock said. “White liberals, I’m sorry, they’re the actual bigots.”<\/p>\n

“I know that’s going to blow a lot of people’s minds but liberalism to me is now the new KKK hood,” Whitlock said. “Bigots use to hide under hoods, now they hide under the label of being a liberal end of progressive and that allows you to be as bigoted as you want to be. If you want to call yourself an antifascist and support of Black Lives Matter as a white person, that means you can go out into the streets, tear down neighborhoods, harass people, say all kinds of disrespectful stuff to white and black people, and it’s all good because allegedly, you’re fighting racism. Allegedly, you’re on the side of black people.”<\/p>\n

“If you evaluate their actions and their mindsets, they actually can’t stand the black people, they have no respect for black people, think very little of black people, and certainly aren’t working towards our benefit,” he said. “The world is upside down.”<\/p>\n

“White liberals are going out on a black person’s credit card and making up a bunch of charges, charging of a bunch of things that we have to pay the bill for,” Whitlock said. “They are doing it in our name. This is crazy.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Personally, I LOVED the credit card analogy.\u00a0 I had similar thoughts when I saw white people intimidating people at restaurants and demanding that diners raise their fists and declare “Black Lives Matter” or they will continue to harass them.\u00a0 It is almost like they can don the cloak of a movement and be a part of something larger than themselves… uh, like some of us did when we joined the military.<\/p>\n

Maybe they never fought for anything before and now is their chance to do something super safe?<\/p>\n

But I often wondered how black people viewed the whites taking up their cause?\u00a0 \u00a0Are they the best representatives given all of their questionable behavior that comes with the territory?\u00a0 Their passion seems a little over the top wild and could use some tempered wisdom to effectively communicate a message.<\/p>\n

I’ve seen bullies and in an odd way, they get respect.\u00a0 It is not the kind of respect that people have when they earn it by doing good deeds, caring for others, making hard decisions, and leading effectively.\u00a0 If people give you a wide path because you are violent, crazy, unpredictable, or all of the above – is that<\/em> truly the kind of respect that you want?\u00a0 Then again, maybe that’s the only thing they know.<\/p>\n
