This is, of course, Trump’s fault and a demonstration of his disdain and hatred for the media.<\/p>\n
\n\nIn a heretofore unpublicized recent memo, the Pentagon delivered an order to shutter Stars and Stripes, a newspaper that has been a lifeline and a voice for American troops since the Civil War.\u00a0The memo orders the publisher of the news organization (which now publishes online as well as in print) to present a plan that \u201cdissolves the Stars and Stripes\u201d by Sept. 15\u00a0including “specific timeline for vacating government owned\/leased space worldwide.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\n\u201cThe last newspaper publication (in all forms) will be September 30, 2020,\u201d writes Col. Paul Haverstick Jr., the memo\u2019s author.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
It’s an election year, so cue the Democrat’s to say how terrible this will be for the military. They claim to have 1.3 million readers, which seems a wee bit…how do I say it?…inflated.\u00a0<\/em>If that’s the case, they shouldn’t have any trouble keeping the presses running through advertising revenue and paper sales, right?<\/p>\n
