Armed civilians defend Kenosha gas station from arsonists amid Jacob Blake protests<\/h3>\n

A small militia of heavily armed civilians protected a gas station from being torched in Kenosha, Wisconsin, following the police shooting of Jacob Blake \u2014 imploring rioters not to \u201cf\u2013k up\u201d their own neighborhood.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m on your side!\u201d shouted one of three men carrying high-powered rifles and wearing helmets and protective clothing, with one in full military camouflage, according to video shot by Daily Caller reporter Shelby Talcott.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut you can\u2019t burn down your local businesses,\u201d he shouted as they were heckled by a group of at least a dozen people outside.<\/p>\n

The men \u2014 who insisted they were not affiliated with a militia organization \u2014 said they were not connected to the gas station but feared a \u201creally bad\u201d outcome if it was targeted by arsonists running rampant in the city.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re destroying their own neighborhood,\u201d one of the men said of the two nights of riots after the police shooting of Blake, 29, who is black.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
