They hope that by doing this, people all around the world will see fit to follow their example.<\/p>\n<p>Some sufficiently &#8220;more approachable and public-friendly&#8221; nicknames will likely be spared NASA\u2019s razor. A NASA official stated that the \u201cHorsehead Nebula\u201d seemed fine to him and would likely be allowed to stay under the current rules.<\/p>\n<p>However, in the real world, it would appear that things aren\u2019t as simple and controllable as NASA perhaps wishes them to be. The measures being implemented by NASA seem to be not so popular on social media such as Twitter.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CHSommers\/status\/1291803802345988097?s=20\">This particular tweet<\/a>\u00a0makes an important and timely serious of inquiries as to how far the change of nomenclature plans to go.\u201d &#8211; article<\/p>\n<p>Yes, this IS how your tax money is being spent, trying find a blissful way to not offend anyone, and can\u2019t we all just get along???? Thank you. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>But NASA, in its haste to please the Unpleasable Crowd, is also falling down on the job, having not noticed a rather large and hard-rock type asteroid doing a flyby at Earth until several days after it had passed.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/football-field-sized-asteroid-passes-close-by-earth-undetected\">https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/football-field-sized-asteroid-passes-close-by-earth-undetected<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The size of a football field, huh?\u00a0 Just so you know, your Homeowners policy, even with Umbrella Liability, won&#8217;t cover the cost of replacement\/repairs if a Big Rock From Outer Space falls out of the sky and lands on your domicile.
