Mini 14 Ranch Rifle<\/a><\/p>\n Shooting that killed man, injured another ruled self defense<\/strong><\/p>\n CONNELLY SPRINGS \u2014 A shooting that left one man dead and another injured has been ruled self defense.<\/p>\n Robert Winston J. Perkins Jr., 45, 6937 Knob Ave., Connelly Springs, was killed in a shooting at the address, according to a previous release from the Burke County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n His brother, Christopher Ronald Perkins, 43, of the same address, was shot and transported to an area trauma center. He has since been released from the hospital, said Sheriff Steve Whisenant in an email.<\/p>\n The men were found after deputies responded to their home for reports of yelling, screaming and gunshots around 12:27 a.m. July 29, according to a previous News Herald article. Robert Perkins was dead at the scene, and Christopher Perkins was transported to a local hospital.<\/p>\n Deputies also discovered that a man involved in the shooting left the scene with a woman, the article said. That man turned himself into Cleveland County sheriff\u2019s deputies. He and the woman with him have been interviewed by Burke County sheriff’s detectives, the release said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n 1 \/ 1 \/ 0 VA: Store owner says clerk who defended himself with gun punished by vengeful prosecutors, alleged perp protected<\/strong><\/p>\n In late March, three juvenile suspects allegedly broke into immigrant Jowan Zuber\u2019s smoke shop in Arlington, Virginia, as 33-year-old employee Hamzeh Abushariah was asleep in the back.<\/p>\n Awakened by the noise, Abushariah reached for his pistol, stepped out onto the sales floor and discharged his weapon, striking one of the suspects. He then fled to the back of the store, quickly dialed 911 and then returned to the front to fire more shots and scare the criminals away.<\/p>\n After the break-in occurred, the police arrested Abushariah, a move so brazenly shocking that Fox News host Tucker Carlson wound up inviting Zuber onto his show in early April to get the word out about what was happening.<\/p>\n Five months later, Zuber again appeared on Fox News\u2019 \u201cTucker Carlson Tonight\u201c, and the news was even grimmer than before. 0 \/ 0 \/ 0 Tucker’s Video Link<\/a><\/p>\n Suspect shot in home invasion dies; police seeking accomplice<\/strong><\/p>\n Tulsa police are searching for a man with a gunshot wound after a homeowner reportedly shot two men who broke into his home early Friday morning.<\/p>\n Officers responded to the home in the 800 block of North New Haven Avenue about 1:40 a.m. Friday and found the homeowner bleeding from the head after being pistol whipped.<\/p>\n Another man \u2014 believed to be one of two who entered the home while the homeowner, his wife and child were sleeping \u2014 was found on the floor in a bedroom with a gunshot wound to the head.<\/p>\n The homeowner said his dog’s barking alerted them to the intruders’ presence. Despite being pistol whipped, the homeowner reportedly managed to take the gun and told investigators he shot both intruders.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nAccording to Zuber, not only has Abushariah since been placed on house arrest, but the alleged \u201cring leader\u201d of the burglary has been cleared of all charges \u2014 and despite there reportedly being video evidence showing the break-in.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
