You all know how everything is being altered or removed or destroyed, so as to not offend anyone, right?<\/p>\n
It’s called expurgation and\/or bowdlerism.<\/p>\n
Expurgation, also known as bowdlerization, is a form of censorship which involves purging anything deemed noxious or offensive from an artistic work, or other type of writing of media. The term bowdlerization is a pejorative term for the practice, particularly the expurgation of lewd material from books.<\/p>\n
– Remove material that is considered improper or offensive from (a text or account or any environment), especially with the result that the text becomes weaker or less effective, e.g., : “every edition of his letters and diaries has been bowdlerized”<\/p>\n

Referring to the part about “freedom of speech, freedom of the press”, etc., etc., etc.<\/p>\n These displays of selfishness are not attempts to get people to have better manners; most of the people I know have really good manners and don’t throw rocks or scream at other people for being alive, or push them in front of trains, or yank them around because they’re old and apparently vulnerable. Assaulting an old lady or an old man or a child just because you think you can get away with it is the act of a sociopath, and has nothing to do with any kind of constitutional freedom.\u00a0 Those are criminal acts and nothing else.<\/p>\n In this example, a woman at a store was left with a broken leg after a customer screamed at her about how she was wearing her mask and knocked her down.\u00a0 https:\/\/www.dailydot.com\/irl\/staples-karen\/<\/a> \u00a0The store camera’s video is in the middle of the page.<\/p>\n All by itself, it’s assault, but it also becomes a form of expurgation when someone is treated this way. There are dozens of samples of people screaming bloody murder at someone for either not wearing a mask or not wearing it the way they think it should be worn. Conform or die, basically.<\/p>\n Any offending art is to be removed from the sight of the easily offended, or they’ll take it down themselves. Any books they don’t like, whether they are “The Black Stallion” or the Bible or Edna St. Vincent Millay’s poetry, are to be burned. Destroy something that offends your delicate sensibilities by setting it on fire, or pushing it in front of a train or a bus.<\/p>\n Yeah, that’s really civilized, isn’t it?\u00a0 Well, I’m offended that these spoiled brats are offended.
