Police investigate self-defense claim in fatal shooting in North Nashville Tuesday night<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nMetro Nashville police are investigating a fatal shooting that was claimed to be self defense.<\/p>\n

Police say Deshaun Jones, 30, admitted to fatally shooting Okpara Arnold, 40, Tuesday night. Jones said Arnold repeatedly rammed the car Jones was in, which was being driven by Tiondra Branch, 22.<\/p>\n

While on 14th Avenue North near Wheless Street in North Nashville Tuesday night, Jones told police that Arnold repeatedly hit the car he and Branch were in, disabling it.<\/p>\n

Branch fled, and police say Jones shot Arnold. Arnold was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man kills girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend in apparent act of self defense<\/strong>

ELKTON, Md. \u2014 A man killed his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend Tuesday night after allegedly being attacked and threatened at a home in Cecil County.<\/p>\n

It happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 100-block of Cherry Hill Road in Elkton.<\/p>\n

Maryland State Police say 56-year-old Glenn Culley twice came to the home demanding money from an ex-girlfriend who lives there.<\/p>\n

A 63-year-old Delaware man who now dates and lives with the woman at the home, came out to confront Culley after he went into their backyard.<\/p>\n

Culley allegedly threatened to kill the man before charging and knocking him to the ground.<\/p>\n

While being assaulted, police believe the man pulled out a knife and stabbed Culley in self defense.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nPORT ARTHUR, Texas \u2014 A man is expected to survive his injuries after Port Arthur Police say he was shot when he entered a woman’s apartment without permission and completely nude Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

A 911 call came in around 1 p.m. on Monday about a shooting at Avery Trace Apartments on Highway 365.<\/p>\n

Officers found the man with a gunshot wound in his ‘lower extremities.’ Investigators say the man knocked on the woman’s door and entered without permission. That’s when police say she shot him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
