This is possibly the most dimwitted reaction I have ever run into, toward someone showing a talent for a difficult task and doing it really well.<\/p>\n

Morgan Bullock, a young black woman from Virginia who loves to dance, talked her mother into letting her take lessons in Irish dancing, which is a high-end form of tap dancing.\u00a0 She is quite good at it, and has posted some videos of her doing Irish dancing on TikTok, getting the attention of a lot of people, including the producer of Riverdance<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Her videos drew a lot of\u00a0 good responses, including an invitation from\u00a0Padraic Moyles, the producer of the Riverdance<\/em> program, who invited Bullock to perform with his dancers when they make a tour stop in Virginia next year.<\/p>\n

Since then Bullock has posted dozens more videos dancing to songs from icons including Drake, Doja Cat, Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson – eliciting praise from thousands of people across the globe. – article<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, there are the usual jealous, obnoxious, snot-nosed grinches and trolls who can’t stand seeing someone doing something she really enjoys, especially when she’s good at it, and they’ve accused her of something called ‘CULTURAL APPROPRIATION’.<\/p>\n

There is a video of Ms. Bullock’s dance talent which was shown on my local news feed this morning. There is also one embedded in the article, and when I say this girl has talent, it is not an exaggeration.\u00a0 To use a ridiculous term like ‘cultural appropriation’ in regard to someone like her is the same as telling me that I shouldn’t do chert and flint knapping to make arrow and spear points, or smash two rocks together to make a hand axe for cutting up a deer carcass, just like our very distant “caveman” ancestors did.<\/p>\n
