Homeowner fatally shoots man in DeKalb County, sheriff says<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nDEKALB COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) \u2014 The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating a deadly shooting in DeKalb County.<\/p>\n

One man died in the shooting on Carter Drive in Smithville at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday.<\/p>\n

Responding crews found the man lying on the front porch of a home with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

Preliminary investigation suggests the homeowner and man exchanged gunfire and the homeowner fatally shot the man.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nThe man accused of shooting another man at a house west of I-44 and Kearney on Tuesday is out of jail.<\/p>\n

Court records say the shooting may have happened as the result of an eviction.<\/p>\n

Deputies in Greene County confirmed to KY3 News, that they were at the home earlier Tuesday to evict Alexander Goeman.<\/p>\n

When Goeman wasn\u2019t home, they left.<\/p>\n

More court documents gave the owner of the house the go ahead to move Goeman\u2019s property to the curb.<\/p>\n

It was when a neighbor came to clear out the house at the request of the homeowner when Goeman returned and confronted him.<\/p>\n

The men got into a fight and Goeman was shot.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
